管圣圣在新疆乌鲁木齐长大，并在那儿的新疆艺术学院戏剧系学习导演。毕业后管圣圣在电视圈工作了很多年，如她在MTV娱乐新闻节目中担任制作人，还在SUNTV导演过短片纪录片。近几年，她逐渐对独立制作电影产生兴趣，拍过许多纪录片（“Spain’s Face”, 2007），多媒体艺术片（“Fairytale”, 艾未未, 2007），以及“同志亦凡人”的相关工作都是她作为摄影师和编辑后倾力完成的。
Guan Shengsheng grew up in Urumqi, Xinjiang, where she studied directing at the drama department of the Xinjiang Art Institute. She worked many years for television, both as a producer for entertainment and news programs at MTV and as a director of short documentaries at SUNTV. During recent years, she has been developing her passion for independent film, working mainly as a camerawoman and editor for documentaries (including “Spain’s Face”, 2007), multi-media artwork (including “Fairytale”, Ai Weiwei, 2007) and “Queer Comrades”.
