When it rains, it pours.
So the cliche goes.
Beijing’s gay community doesn’t need to be draaaaagggggged to a venue for a Charity event.
Drag queens and trannies, skinny bitches and fatties, baldies and dandruff-ful heads, straight-acting and flamboyant man-whores, stud and trying hard wannabes, clean-cut closet queens and drama queens, potato queens and rice queens, cuties and hotties—all congregate–in the name of Charity.
Last Friday’s Charity event, Drag On, by Gayographic at LAN Club, was a testament that this capital’s gay scene is very much alive not just with all things fabulous but also with generous hearts of gay men, women and in-betweens.
Three outstanding performances from the ultimate divas in their own right, showed up with pomp, glamour and elegance devoted only to the supportive audience who was left in awe.
Drewscilla, Queen of the Peasants never fails to amaze the crowd with his statuesque beauty. This British fruitcake definitely spells charm and grace.
Mei-Mei, a Chinese drag queen, whose life was a subject of a documentary, left everyone in stitches when he executed how a Japanese, Korean and Chinese make love in seconds. And the lucky guy who was the object of such acts was Ryan, who is one of the organizers of the event itself. I wonder what his super fab boyfriend thought about that act of lasciviousness.
)
Zhao Ke, the Chief Editor of a gay magazine , GAYSPOT, had his fagulous debut to Beijing’s stage, if not, to the world’s stage. He glammed himself up in a cute blue cocktail dress matched with an origami thingy on his head and floored the crowd with his rendition of Chinese songs.
Then…. the wild music followed after the performances.
That’s when the gay guys ruled the dance floor in their salacious moves that either seduces someone or intentionally bumping someone’s crotch to have a hard on.
If it were a tantric music, there could have been an orgy better than the ending scene of the PERFUME movie.
What a way to raise moolah for the Beijing LGBT Center and Gayspot Magazine!
