Stereotypes tend to be based on some facts. Gays being gifted artists, for instance, is probably not far from the truth. It’s no surprising that a long-oppressed social group find it easier to unleash their creativity as well as sensitivity in paintings, music and films. Gay artwork has in turn highlighted the authors’ unique talent to the rest of society that often marginalizes the LGBT community.
