Duran和他的同性伴侣，他们的故事充满了好莱坞式的传奇，让人回味无穷。John J. Duran作为一名公开的同性恋者和HIV感染者，他一直非常关注同志文化和同志权力的发展，他专程来到北京同志文化活动中心来见证开幕仪式，同时作为证婚人，市长也为中国一对同志的婚礼送上祝福。

Duran, the queer mayor of West Hollywood, and his partner, on their visit to China. Their story is very much a Hollywood tale. John J. Duran lives openly as a gay man and as an HIV positive individual. He has always been very involved in the development of queer culture and queer rights. He came to Beijing exclusively to be a part of the opening ceremony for the Beijing LGBT Culture and Activity Center and to officiate the wedding of a Chinese gay couple.
